The plant will be fed by forklift or automatic hoisting and tipping unit for small quantities, but also with shovel dozer and chip bunker in case of large quantities. The entire process goes automatically. The main component

of the chip processing is the shredder , which was developed specifically for aluminium and prepares chips always with the same size with lowest rate of fine particles for the further processing. A centrifuge, which is

easy to maintain and wear-resistant, now dries the chips to a minimal residual moisture. The centrifuged coolant can be reused after the processing by a filter.

Through different steps the chips are transported to a large volume chip bunker, which stores the chips. Transported by a screw conveyor with an exactly dosed material stream, the chips are fully automatically conveyed to the furnaces.

BREAKING UP CHIPS

For breaking up steel chips, aluminium chips, non-ferrous metals.  The granulate can be pumped or moved by suction.  The size reduction of the chips is imperative for transportation in pipe systems.  ARP chip cutting unit systems with a chip chamber screen ensure a uniform pumpable chip quality.

In conjunction with drying, breaking-up considerably increases market value of the chips.

The cutting unit is protected against overloads and over-sized pieces by a specific control system.

CHIP DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING SYSTEM

Complete chip disposal concepts as well as environmental technology.

One product area consists of chip disposal systems in the form of above-floor pumping systems and vacuum extraction systems, chip processing systems for size-reduction, centrifuging and transportation as well as the new and innovative chip silo technology.

The second area is made up of machines for the size reduction of waste, recycling plants, granulating plants, plants for food processing and the processing of paper, plastics and textiles.

These chip disposal systems are installed throughout the world in many types of industries that demand a quality product and are cost conscious.  In turn they can benefit from an optimized price/performance ratio through maximum flexibility.  Environmentally compatible, cost-effective solutions, modification, modernization or system extension maybe developed and individual, practical designs for solving problems

Chip disposal with vacuum technology

In the case of dry above-floor chip disposal using vacuum extraction systems, coarsely broken-up chips are transported above-floor via a vacuum pipe system and fed to a central processing unit.

The central electric box contains all the switching and control elements necessary for the trouble-free conveyance and disposal of the chips. A rotary piston blower with high functional safety and availability is used as the vacuum unit. A filter separating unit ensures that the discharged air is unpolluted.

The vacuum extraction systems are suitable for machines with self-supply or dry processing. The installations can be used in all kinds of metal-cutting production facilities and provide safe, fast and clean clearance of the chips as a result of their absolute flexibility and the extremely low space requirement of the entire pipe system.

The chips incurring in the machine tools are dosed to the pipe system either via a suction hopper or via a suction transfer lock. The chips are rapidly, safely and cleanly conveyed through the enclosed pipe system to the central unit by means of the suction air generated by the blower. The entire pipe system is especially distinguished by its unlimited flexibility. It is always possible to remove machines from the system or add new ones to it without having to carry out extensive conversion work on the pipe system

The chips and cooling lubricant reach the pumping station via a chip conveyor and a lifting pump or an overflow pipe system. Chips are pumpable below a length of approx. 25 mm (without an inclination to tangle). This property is provided in the case of most steel chips from milling, cutting or deburring machines as well as in the case of many grey cast-iron machining operations. Chips from turning or boring operations have to be broken up in most cases. Size reduction takes place in a cutting unit arranged above the pumping station. The pumpable metal chips are conveyed together with the cooling lubricant to a collecting conveyor or a filtration unit through a pipe system.

The pump installations can be used in all kinds of metal-cutting production facilities and provide safe, fast and clean clearance of the chips as a result of their flexible, innovative design and the extremely low space requirement.

Environmental Technology

Throughput performances of up to 3,000 kg/h are obtained with the CS machines, which can be used to break up all kinds of waste and recycling materials.  As a result of the unit assembly system the optimum machine can be offered for nearly every application. Special accessories or equipment, e.g. conveyor belts, worm conveyors, explosion-protected machines etc. are also available for the standard product range.

Operating reliability is ensured by a series of innovations.

For example: The pendulum-type pressurizing mechanism prevents hang-up of the material. This means: no congestion in the machine. The machine is extremely easy to maintain as a result of the hinged hopper. Additional advantages for

the operating costs: Both the rotor and the counter cutters are equipped

with replaceable inserts. Only the worn inserts are exchanged, as required.

 

Function description:

The bulk material is automatically drawn in and shredded through the rotary motion of the rotor in conjunction with the hydraulic pressurizing mechanism. A screen under the rotor determines the granulate size. A number of screens are available in various sizes and materials depending on the profile of requirements.
